Tricks to know about MyOmBox
- IMPORTANT: You should never disconnect electrically MyOmBox without turning off the system before using the button “Stop MyOmBox” on the software. MyOmBox is equipped with an SD card; disconnect the power supply without turning off the system can cause damage, cause data loss and irreversible dysfunction.
- Never remove or swap SD cards from MyOmBox boxes. For licensing reasons and network configuration that can cause malfunctions.

An Android application is available to this address. You can also use the web version. For iPad or iPhone users, simply add a shortcut from Safari to your home screen to launch MyOmBox in full screen ! See example below
- To turn a light on or off you can either press "On" and "Off" or press the image of the bulb.
- To use the dimmer’s slider you can either click and move the slider or directly click at a place on the bar variation. The slider will automatically move to the value pointed.
- If you want to connect to your MyOmBox with a secure connexion via the SSL protocol , you must simply replace http:// by https:// in the address. A certificate error message appear depending the browser you are using . To solve this problem you must download and install a certificate located at the root directory of MyOmBox. You can get it by typing in your address bar http://BOX_ADDRESS/ca.crt. A tutorial will soon be available.
- You can also get connected from outside your MyOmBox system. For this you need to configure your ADSL box to allow access from the Internet to your MyOmBox system. The procedure can be complex for a beginner. A tutorial will soon be posted. In brief, you must redirect your internet IP address using a NAT/PAT rule port to the IP address and port 80 for HTTP MyOmBox in an unsecured mode, or 443 for the HTTPS secure SSL mode.
- Two display modes are available in MyOmBox: a "grid" mode displayed by default on tablets, computers and TVs and a "list" mode displayed by default on smartphone. It might be useful to change the display mode, especially on tablets. To do so, click on the menu icon representing a tablet and a mobile phone, and the possibility to change the display mode will be visible.
